When we are in our comfort zone we experience a state of ease. We have the physical skills we need for success. However daily life frequently challenges our boundaries, pushing us beyond comfort and familiarity.
Our ability to respond effectively is closely linked to our ability to notice what happens to us when we are under stress and to the tools we have at our disposal. Brainsells provides training that gives participants the chance to focus on their physical response to certain situations. By doing this we can notice habitual patterns, discern how effective they are and begin to think about how we might prefer to respond. Paying attention like this is the first step towards intention, choice and constructive action. It also enables us to identify how we prefer to gather and process sensory information. Then we can understand how others may do this in a different way. Tools for every day living In some situations survival instincts or emotions take over when what we really need is clear thinking. Often we can help ourselves through our bodies. There are many simple physical activities that can facilitate our neural, muscular and emotional functioning. Some of these recall the movements children naturally do in the first few years of their life. All of them support the body’s internal processes. From stress and struggle to ease and enjoyment Our training offers a process for identifying and alleviating the stress patterns associated with routine activities such as writing, driving, starting a project, making a phone call or playing a musical instrument. Every individual has a unique pace. When we relax into our own rhythm we create a balanced learning state and expand our options. Experience this in action with Switched on for school, Wired up for work Revitalise and refocus and the Brain Gym foundation course. |
